"From Passion to Perfection: The Artistic Journey of a Tattoo Visionary"

How did you discover your passion for tattooing, and what inspired you to make it your career?

Regarding my professional trajectory, I established an art school. However, the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated a strategic recalibration. Consequently, a targeted advertisement on Facebook prompted me to pursue tattoo artistry, resulting in the closure of the school. Currently, I find this decision entirely satisfactory, as tattooing presents significant professional development opportunities.

How would you define your tattooing style, and what makes it unique?

I work in all styles. But I prefer complex color realism with a golden effect. Having small details and a gold effect in the design makes my style unique.

Which artists or styles have influenced your work the most

Numerous talented tattoo artists operate globally; however, Victoria Lee currently holds my highest regard. I consider all her work to be exceptional.

What’s the most meaningful or challenging tattoo you’ve ever done, and why?

It is most likely the work at my first tattoo convention, which won the first 2 places in the Asian Inspired and Best Color Portrait category. It was an Asian princess with a lot of jewelry. The work was microrealistic in large size. I spent 22h and did my best to do it perfectly. It was after this work that I realized that I wanted to continue moving in this direction. This tattoo is still one of my favorites.

How do you handle the emotional connection between a client and their tattoo?

I'm an empath by nature. I feel other people's emotions very well. I can tell the style of tattoo that might suit my client's personality by the client's appearance. Sometimes I can't hold back tears when I do memorial tattoos because I feel the pain of losing my client. I consider it my dignity because all my work is done with my heart.

What is your process for designing a custom tattoo for a client?

Design development takes a long time. The main time is spent finding the right references. Often, pictures have to be changed, reworked, and finished. Therefore, it is very important that the customer initially provide as much information as possible about his vision of the tattoo. Lack of understanding of the final image leads to numerous design changes. I design with body shape, skin tone, description provided, tattoo size and meaning, and limited budget if any. I do all the design development and approval work remotely and in advance of the appointment. So I spend the day of the tattoo session directly on tattooing.

What’s your take on how the art of tattooing has evolved in recent years?

I think the art of tattooing takes leaps and bounds. The artists' work is amazing. New higher-quality materials are emerging that help the artist's tattoo work. By the way, I'm also one of the creators of the novelties. My invention is a new form of tattoo needle that will make the shading smoother. At the moment, my invention is being examined by the US Patent Center.

What advice would you give to someone considering their first tattoo?

The most important tip is to choose an artist's tattoo according to his portfolio. Price should not play a key role. Most often, good tattoo artists charge higher rate, but it is a service that the customer pays once and for life. Tattoos should not be skimped on. You should approach the choice of tattoo consciously. The names of ex favorites are most often the cause of the cover up.

What tools or techniques do you prefer to use, and how have your methods evolved over time?

From the beginning, I used good-quality professional materials, but relatively inexpensive. Over time, I switched to premium materials, which allowed me to improve my work. Better materials and tools allowed me to develop skills faster. I use different color applying techniques in my work. It depends more on the client's skin properties and tolerance for pain. I adapt to circumstances. It is the client's skin that is the main unpredictable element in the work.

What are your goals or future projects as a tattoo artist?

I am committed to pursuing this line of development. My expertise is self-developed and I am eager to share my knowledge with others. My objectives include continued participation in tattoo competitions, aiming for awards across diverse styles, and, as previously stated, securing patent approval and commencing production of my invention.
